Untold Secrets

Ultimate Secret

If you have browsed the Internet, read various trading sites and forums, you will always hear about the 2-3% or even 5% of your capital rule / money management, psychology, etc.  Essentially, most of “everyone” has the same approach and method to trading. If you have found mentors, the same message may have been conveyed to you.

The truth is, all these people and approaches are very similar.  What differentiates them from a Steve Cohen and the likes?  Two key things:  the super successful have a very good method of balancing the wins vs the loss, and they also do not strictly confine themselves to the 2-3% rule.  Additionally, there’s alot of talk on forums about only requiring to be 51% or similar low numbers to be profitable or successful in trading.  My question is, why so mediocre?

If you listen to any of the various repeated messages exclaimed by so called experts or professionals, then you will be just like everyone.  Steve Cohen and similar did not become extremely wealthy because they followed these same set of rules – think about it.  People who learn and trade contrary to traditional methods, or perceive the market differently are the ones who are more successful.  As you realize, it’s no secret at all, it’s plain common sense.  Will your normal trading method grow as fast as or even near as a Steve Cohen; even in proportion to the dollar level?

Aspire for more, learn more from the non-standard methods, and put in the hard work first – the pips will just flow and click.  You have to find the strategies that will work for you, and the only way to do that is if you try other ones.  Do not worry about 100+ pips per trade, worry about guaranteeing your success with the right balance of wins and losses; minimizing losses and maximizing wins .  Mediocrity should not be the goal, excellence should be.  If you can develop a system which can have a high success rate of 30-50 TP / 10-15 SL or 3/2 to 1, you will arrive at this next level.  There is always someone who is not going by everyone else’s rule – it requires hard work, creative thinking, and practice.  There’s no shortcut.  People who have figured out the market will not easily give their secret away; not even for a fee.

Last but not least, do not listen to the naysayers as you journey towards your dreams – whether it be friends, family, or anyone else.  Anything is possible.
